Feline Viral Respiratory Disease Complex - personal experiences

I took two of my cats to the nspca, in norfolk, va. They had never been sick a day in their life! I took them to have one spayed and one neutered.
When i picked them up, they had removed the blanket i had in the carrier for them and when i got home i found both of them to be soaked in urine.
Luckily it appears the incisions did not suffer even though they had said absolutely don't get them wet.
About a week later i noticed the Mama cat starting to sneeze. I just started having inside cats and thought well maybe she was sneezing because of some hair or something like that.
No luck there, she was the first to start sneezing and now all of my cats are sneezing. I had taken the kittens for their shots before I got them fixed. They did not tell me they needed to come back for more shots and i didn't find out until the day i left them there that they needed more shots. I told them to give them whatever shots they needed. They looked at the records and gave them a rabies and then fixed them. Now, ALL of my cats are sick and i am worried they may have a bad time of it.
SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL,,, MAKE SURE YOUR ANIMALS HAVE THEIR CORRECT VACINATIONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THEM ANYWHERE TO BE FIXED. THEY WERE ONLY THERE A FEW HOURS AND IT MAY COST THEM THEIR LIFE.
THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO LEAVE THEM IN THEIR OWN CARRIER UNTIL THEY WERE OUT FOR THE SURGERY. THEY MUST HAVE LUMPED THE CARRIERS TOGETHER BECAUSE SOMEHOW MY CATS GOT SICK AT THEIR FACILITY.

I recently adopted a kitten 6 weeks old from the pound. We brought her home & she started sneezing. My ignorance lead me to believe she had caught my sons cold since she spent most of her time in there. I also thought it was new enviornment or too much airfreshner etc. However we had already had one cat who has lived with us for 7 months & did not have any problems. I took our new kitten to the Vet 5 days later and was told that she has Viral Respiratory Disease . I was given antibiotics for her. The good news was our 1st cat Stryker had shots for that diease so it was no threat to him.
