My cat has been coughing for 2 weeks now he is getting worse he's actually puking now. I took him to vet and they didn't fix the problem. What should I do now? I don't have the kind of money to take him to the vet every week because of the vets screw up. Any advice?????? I would greatly appreciate it!

Is you cat an Oriental? I have two Oriental cats and I am told that the breeders prefering the elongated faces have created a very narrow nasal passage in the modern oriental that is easily irrited and once irritated the coughing causes inflammation and the inflammed mucous area can then get a secondary infection.

We got some relief with an antibiotic shot and an antiflammatory but I believe the cycle will continue.
