General information on Mycetoma
Several species of fungi can enter the cat's body through a wound, possibly causing tumor like masses called Mycetomas.
Symptoms of Mycetoma
Symptoms of Mycetoma may include a sore that doesn't heal, a lump under the skin that oozes a grainy material. The grains may appear to be white, yellow or black. Mycetoma can be a fatal condition depending on the species of fungi involved.
Treatments for Mycetoma
Generally, your vet will suggest surgery to completely remove the Mycetoma.
